Content is King - So Where Do You Find Content?
We've all heard the term "content is king". When Google crawls your site, it looks for how frequently the pages have been updated. It likes frequent updates. When it keeps coming back and you have different content, in most cases it will reflect kindly on your sites. But finding content can be a difficult task. Here is a top 5 list of ways to go about it.
Outsourcing
This idea always seems to get under peoples' skin, so to speak, because it means you have to pay someone else to do your work for you. Sure, it's going to cost you to go this route but just think of how quickly you can get content. Have others write articles for you or post to blogs with back links to your site. Remember, you can submit multiple requests to various people which will explode your content. Just a fair warning though, don't necessarily submit everything you get from outsourcing to your site (or article directories) as too much change in content can give you negative ratings.
Write It Yourself
Okay, for those that didn't like the first suggestion, you have every right to write the content yourself. If you are disciplined and write well, you probably would want to choose this option. By the way, there is nothing to preclude you from writing it yourself and outsourcing it.
Use Content From Article Directories
Most article directories allow you to copy the articles posted there profided you leave what's known as the resource box, intact. A resource box is information about the author and almost always has a link or two back to the author's site. This should be your least favored method of getting content. The only time I use this is when I am setting up a new site and I want to get some content that is related to my site. But overall, whenever you copy someone else's page, it dilutes the value of that page for you and the author.
Use Article Directories for Research Ideas
Articles submitted to article directories often have great ideas that can be used as the basis of your research. Now some caution is warranted here: make sure the article you are scanning has reliable information. You'll need to do a bit of fact checking where necessary. The last thing you want to do is post something that isn't true. Your site and you will lose credibility fast when doing that. Overall though, the well written sites will be fairly credible.
Use Resell Rights For Content
The type of resell rights products that I am referring to here are digital ones. These are ebooks or videos (even audio) products that give you the right to turn around and sell the product keeping all of the money for yourself. Admittedly I saved what I consider to be the best option for last. This one is big in my book because much of what is delivered is fairly good quality so you have already have a great basis from which to work. Also, there are many subjects available so if you have a niche outside the normal ones (like internet marketing) then this will work in your favor.
Now there is a lot of junky PLR sites out there so even with this option you have to choose the right company that will provide quality products. I use one that I've been quite happy with because it has many products (thousands) ranging from many topics (health and fitness, real estate, home and family, etc. to name a few). The great thing is this services is constantly being updated weekly so you will have access to fresh data. The service I am talking about is
Resell Rights Fortune. I am a member and I am constantly using them for content generation ideas.
